Why We Need To Save The Trees
Deforestation is a growing problem across the world. The vast destruction can not only be seen in the Amazon, but right here in our backyard in the states as well. Trees help clean the air that we breathe, filter the water we drink, and house over 80% of the terrestrial biodiversity on our planet. A single tree can house over 100 species of insects, fungi, moss, and mammals. Deforestation strips our wildlife from their natural habitats and leads to the irreparable damage of our planet. Help us to reach our goal of planting 50 million trees in the U.S. and conserving them across 20,000 acres of land. Join our fight to save our planet!
OUR WILDLIFE
Our forests provide our wildlife the natural habitats they need to not only survive, but thrive. From insects, to flora, to mammals. Our forests are an integral food source and habitat to our wildlife.
OUR AIR
Tree bark and leaves absorb harmful pollutants, offset carbon pollution, and release clean oxygen back into our atmosphere. Reducing carbon helps reduce the effects of climate change.
OUR WATER
The intricate root systems of trees act as a filter by removing pollutants from water and slowing down its absorption into the soil. Trees also help capture rainwater, reducing floods and landslides.
