We first opened our whimsical home goods store in the heart of Clarksville, TN, as a charming introduction of the Caledonia Forest brand to our community. Our vision was to create a unique space filled with carefully curated home and garden treasures, each piece a reflection of our brand’s commitment to nature and conservation. What started as a small storefront soon became a beloved spot for locals to explore the wonders of nature-inspired decor and connect with our mission. Although our original plan was to remain in Clarksville for five years, we have made the heartfelt decision to close this chapter earlier than expected. This allows us to focus our resources and energy on an even greater mission—building our conservation park in Dover, TN.
From the beginning, Caledonia Forest has been rooted in one core mission: conservation. Our goal has never been about retail but rather about fostering a deeper connection to nature, restoring forests, and protecting wildlife. The Clarksville storefront was our creative bridge to the community while our larger vision of rewilding forests took shape. Now, with our Dover park moving forward, we are directing all our funds and efforts toward this essential project.
Our first park location in Dover, TN, holds a special place in our hearts. We were able to acquire a magnificent 500-acre parcel of mature pine forest just in time to prevent its destruction by a timber company. Saving this land was a dream come true for our founder, Linda Blackmoor. Now, with the support of her team and the backing of her life’s work and savings, Linda is turning this dream into a reality—not only saving this remarkable piece of land but working toward conserving forests across the United States and Scotland.
We cannot express enough gratitude to the Clarksville community for welcoming us so warmly. We embarked on this journey excited to introduce ourselves to a neighboring town, but what we found was so much more—a community filled with kindness, support, and a shared love for nature. The friendships we’ve made, the loyal customers who championed our mission, and the many who came together to support our cause have left an indelible mark on our hearts. Clarksville, you’ve been a part of this journey, and we will never forget the encouragement you have given us.
Though our little shop’s doors have now closed, Caledonia Forest is only just beginning its most important chapter—building parks dedicated to conservation. Our founder, author and conservationist Linda Blackmoor, continues to support this mission through her book sales, using those funds to establish Caledonia Forest parks across the U.S. and beyond. We will also continue to host events featuring our wildlife ambassadors, creating more ways for our community to engage with our mission.
We encourage you to stay connected with us through our website, Facebook, and Instagram for updates on our progress and opportunities to get involved. Thank you, Clarksville, for your incredible love and support. Because of you, we are now moving forward into the next chapter of Caledonia Forest’s story—building a future where nature and wildlife can thrive, one forest at a time. We look forward to continuing this journey with all of you, and together, we will protect and restore the natural world for generations to come.
